A Range of Options
We deliver numerous security and safety-themed courses, all led by our nationally certified in-house instructors.
We offer the Commissionaires Security Guard Course, which is based on Canadian Government Standards Board standards, and which meets the provincial mandatory training standard for security professional as certified by the Alberta Solicitor General.
Our extended course offering also includes: First Aid: Emergency and Standard Levels, Dealing with Difficult People, Alberta Basic Security Training (ABST), Construction Safety Training, Defensive Driving, Fire Safety and Supervisory Courses.
Alberta Basic Security Training (ABST)
We offer ABST courses to the public at our Edmonton training facility, located at 10633 124 Street. The ABST course is a mandatory 40-hour program for anyone looking to begin a career in Alberta’s private security industry. This in-person, five-day course runs from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and includes a proctored exam. The total cost is $367.50 (including GST).
Course dates: June 23-27, 2025; July 14-18, 2025; August 11-15, 2025.
Basic First Aid (BFA)
We offer one-day Basic First Aid courses to the public at our Edmonton training facility, located at 10633 124 Street. The BFA course is delivered using St. John Ambulance protocols. The course is 8.5 hours in length and costs $100.00 (including GST).
Course dates: June 11, 2025; July 10, 2025; August 8, 2025.
